So this is the start of my launch of Dynamic Self Awareness and I've got to tell you, even recording this, I am freaking out. I am so nervous. I've been waiting and waiting and waiting to launch what I've found over the years. It's called Dynamic Self Awareness because you don't need anything else but what you have on you, as in you, the person you know. Your mind, your body and an understanding of energy and that's all you need to solve any problem. Now I have been working at this a long time. So what is it? It is quite simply, it's a way to heal, it's a way to feel good, it is a way to redefine reality. Why would you want to redefine reality? Well you tell me. What is it you like about the life that you're living? Or about the life that we are all living? Do you think there is room for improvement? Because I sure as bloody hell do. I think it's disgusting, quite honestly, the way we live. And this is a way to combat that. Now I say it's disgusting because I'm passionate. I'm going to get passionate about these things. I'm going to get angry, I'm going to get pissed off, I'm going to get excited, I'm going to get loopy. I'm going to get a lot of things. Some of this isn't even going to make sense. Like I said, I've been waiting for about 20 years to release this and there's a story behind why it's taken so long. But this is just me clearing my throat. Okay, so bear with me. This is about enlightenment. This is about figuring out why we are here. This is about figuring out what actually our purpose is. This is about figuring out what energy is and how we interact with it. Because that's kind of where all this started. I was led into the realm of energy. I intuitively found my way to it and when I did, it sparked a lifelong quest to understand it. Along the way, I have been able to deal with my own challenges and I'll be talking about this quite a lot. I was diagnosed with ADHD. I have also dealt with PTSD my whole life from a very unfortunate incident when I was younger. On top of that, there are elements of Tourette's in my nervous system as well. My brother has full-blown Tourette's. Yes, I am neurologically diverse. I guess that's the common term for it. But it's a problem with energy and it's a problem with how you deal with energy in alignment. You've got to get your mind and your body on the same page. You've got to understand energy and the characteristics of energy. Energy is behind everything. The term energy doesn't mean much. It's just a word. You've really got to delve into the feel of it and how it responds in different situations. It's a continuous journey of understanding energy and how we interact with it. Our thoughts are energy. The more you can explore what these things actually mean, most of the time we don't give it a second thought. A thought is just a thought. We don't really think about it. It's beyond our control. Our emotions, the way we react, all these things just tend to happen. We don't like them, but we're like, "What can we do about it?" Well, I can tell you what you can do about it. You can develop self-awareness. One of the reasons I'm so nervous at the beginning to get started is that getting started with something isn't easy. We can build up in our mind how it's all going to be, but then I don't know what it is. When we go to get started, there seems to be a void. Interestingly enough, that void is the thing we have to step into, and it's freaking scary. I've been lucky. Part of having ADHD is you're very impulsive. Everything's pulse. I talk about this a lot when we go into energetics, which is what I call the field of energy. It is literally energetics. It's the physics of energy, the characteristics of energy, how it expresses itself, how it moves, how it forms, how it transforms. You can apply this to every single problem in your life, to every single challenge in your life, to every single moment in your life. When you slow a moment down, and this is the other thing that I'm quite good at, is being able to really slow even the smallest situation down, and to look into it and to look at things energetically. What was happening in that moment? What was happening in my body? Can I understand what was happening at an energetic level? The reason I've got where I am this far in my understanding of energy, reality, awareness, and healing is because of my impulsivity. I would quite often, just on an impulse, go and do something, or look at something, or try something. For me, getting started on something new wasn't a problem. The problem has been that I haven't shared what I've learnt, and it's backed up to the point where I've got so much rattling around in my head, so many things that I want to share, I didn't quite know where to start. I just had to start. I literally just had to start talking. This is what this is. Starting something new, you've got to start with an impulse, and then you've got to somehow turn that into a flow. The first lesson, if you want to call it a lesson, one of the things that I... This is from someone else. I can't remember the name of the guy, but he had this understanding of energy in that he said there were three main ways that it expresses itself. That is, there is a pulse, there is a flow, and there... No, I'm sorry, that's wrong. We'll get there. His understanding of energy was that it expands and contracts, it charges and discharges, and it spins in and twists out. So there are the three main characteristics of energy. There's all different ways that it expresses itself, but those three things, you can feel these things in your body. My understanding came about from many, many, many different sources. I've read a lot, I have delved into a lot, and I have experimented a lot. All the things that I have found can be described with natural principles. None of this is just pie-in-the-sky stuff. It might take a slightly different way of looking at things, but for some reason I'm very good, or not very good, but one of my skills is that I can put different things together. It's not even a skill, it's just a curiosity of how does that relate to something else? Is that true elsewhere? I started to look into things as simple as a word. Words are really, really powerful. They actually hold the meaning within them. It's not the word itself, it's what that word is describing. What it's describing is energy. When we think of something like impulse, it's quite literally a pulse of energy. If energy can be a pulse, two things. What can that pulse represent? For me that can be a thought. If we put many thoughts together, we get a series of pulses. What is a series of pulses? It's a flow. Again, this didn't all just come about in a linear fashion. This is the big thing with how we try to tackle problems in our lives. We try to come at it from a linear perspective with cause and effect. It's not always the case, that's not always where we're going to get our answers from. You need to be able to adapt to multiple perspectives. You need to be able to look at things from different angles to get what I call a conceptual understanding of it. If you only look at something from one way, it's linear. It's one way in, one way out. That creates a static, that creates just a pulse. It's not flowing anywhere. You've stopped the flow. When we can think of something from multiple perspectives, we start to get what I call a conceptual understanding. To conceive means to take something into your mind. You can take one image, but that's not the whole picture, is it? We look at things from different angles and we look at things from different experiences. From this we get an overall picture. It's this overall picture that helps us to understand the energetic nature of reality. Once we do that, we can start to work with it. The initial pulse that's got me going today was, I want to help people. I want to show people what I have discovered because I think it could literally help millions and millions of people. In fact, I'm going to put it right here and now. My goal is to reach 100 million people. I want to share what I've found with 100 million people. I've been able to overcome my ADHD, the debilitating effects of it. I've been able to overcome my PTSD and the debilitating effects of that. Alongside my Tourette's, alongside depression, stress, anxiety, everything. Once you understand the nature of a problem and it is an energetic cause, then the solution can only be found in the energetic form. What was going on for me today, I was quite literally sitting here all morning waiting to talk. I just couldn't get beyond the feeling of stuckness. The feeling of, I've got so much to say I don't even know where to start. That has become for me a field. There's this field of energy that I am aware of and that is to help people. I have a conceptual understanding, a knowing of what I'm here to do. I have this broad thing and it is beyond words. It is pre-verbal. A lot of understanding and knowing about something, when you know something, it's pre-verbal. You just know it. You know that you know it. You then can put it and try and describe it in different ways. The more ways you can describe it, the greater the understanding you will get from it and the more you'll be able to communicate your understanding, your knowledge with someone else. I just had to pick a point to start and that is this point right here, right now. I'm turning each little impulse and I'm trying to find flows and I'm trying to find ways to describe this concept of reality. Basically what I'm here to do is to help other people to redefine their reality. What I see as the big problem is that our reality has been defined for us and it's causing all sorts of problems. Being told what to do just rubs you up the wrong way, especially when it's unnecessary. But there's this element of control and this need in some spheres of life that people feel the necessity to say, "This is reality. This is how reality is. This is how I see it and this is how it is. There can't be any other way." We see an example of this in our education system. I'll tell you a little story about this. I spent the last 20 odd years in a rural town in Southern Tasmania. There was a gentleman who's since passed away and he got dementia or something like that. Anyway, he was actually quite a successful footballer, soccer, back in England. But he developed Alzheimer's and he basically got to the point where he couldn't communicate anymore. He would just walk around town saying, "This, that and the other. This, that and the other." That's how he communicated with people. Now, I didn't think too much of it at the time, "This, that and the other." But one day I was thinking about the education system and how... because I'd always had a problem with it. It just didn't fit well with me. I didn't like the education system. I didn't like being told how to think. This came to a head when I was learning... I went back to study psychology. I got to this point where I couldn't move in my own brain. Because you can't have your own thoughts when you're studying a university degree. You have to back it up with something that's already been said. This was a huge constraint that I just could not get beyond. It made me think that there really is only two ways to think. There is this way or there is that way. It's either this is the right way or that's the right way. I'm like, "What about other ways?" I started to look at society in general and I saw that it was actually shrinking. Not only was there no longer this or that, definitely wasn't the other, but more and more it was becoming one-dimensional. This is the way it is. This is the way reality has to be. If you think there's any other way, then there's something wrong with you. We had gone from this or that, so it couldn't be this or that, to it's this. If you think it's that, you're wrong. If you think there's any other way, then there's something wrong with you. But that's not how reality works. Reality is purely energy, waiting for us to do something with it. For someone to say that you have to do it this way, it doesn't sit well with me. It doesn't make sense. There's this feeling in society that if everyone was just left to their own devices, there would be chaos. In a way, there would be. I do feel that because deep down, for most of us, there's this sense of doing the right thing, of contributing. Even if that's just for those people around us and our families, the reason we get the shits is when we start to do something, we look around and go, "Oh, but that person's not doing their share." That shouldn't be the impetus for whether you do something or not. The impetus should be whether you can do something or not. This brings me back to why I got started, why I started to talk today, and why I'm going to continue to talk every day. I think that there is something we can do about the situation that we're in, because we're not coping. We are, as a human race, we are not coping. It's beyond arguing whether this is true or not. It's true. People are not coping. They're putting on a brave face, because that's what people do, but people are not coping. It's ridiculously difficult nowadays. The cost of living is insane. It shouldn't cost that much just to live. You shouldn't have to be worrying about paying your rent, or keeping the electricity on, or being able to put food in your family's mouths. It is ridiculous. It is the big picture. We're going to come down slowly. I'm not going to worry too much about the big picture, but we all know that that needs to change. We all know that all our institutions need to change. They're all broken, every single one of them. The healthcare system is broken. The education system is broken. Financial institutions are broken. Our social systems are broken. They're all broken. They need to be redefined. Why? Because we've left it up to one person to make these decisions. We like to think that we're a democracy, but we're not. You can't really have a democracy working from the top down. It doesn't work. You've never in history have two people come up with the same idea at exactly the same time. It's always one person's idea that spreads to the many. It can't be any other way. We have this top-down hierarchy in place that is defining reality for us. It is going against our nature. It is not working. The top-down approach of having others define your reality for you is not working. I'm going to be talking about this in depth over the coming days, weeks, months and years. Yes, I do have courses available that will teach this stuff. I have courses and strategies and tactics up the yin yang. It's just a matter of who's going to respond to this. That's the big thing. When I first started to get into putting this together, the marketing, how to deliver it and how to teach, there's always been this thing of finding your niche and finding your best customer. That's all well and good, but the system that I've discovered, the system that I've put together, the system that I've spent 20-odd years playing around with, it goes beyond those boundaries. It is something that can fix anything and it is for everyone. It's just a matter of who do I start with. I can show people with ADHD how to deal with their thoughts, feelings and emotions. I can teach and show families with high energy children how to balance those children out. Because I've been a high energy child and yes, I've actually put all of this stuff into practice in different ways over the years. One of those ways was working at my son's local primary school. I delivered what was the start of dynamic self-awareness in that school. I would go in, it started in one classroom, I would go in every week and I would show them what I'd uncovered to deal with my own neurodiversities. Because a lot of these kids were having trouble regulating their emotions and it was coming out as bad behavior. I'm probably not going to go into a deeper understanding of all this right now, but it's all linked together. That's the thing with the system, systems aren't very linear. This is probably the hardest thing I've had to come to terms with in delivering this system. There is no real one place to start. You've got to have a general understanding. This is part of the problem I see in everyday reality. We've become specialized. We may have had to, I don't know, it doesn't matter. But we can't be specialized when it comes to defining our own reality. You've got to have an understanding of everything, of every part of your life and you've got to know why, what, how, when, where. Responsibility being the ability to respond rather than react. We've got good at reacting because we've taken on these beliefs, we've taken on these interpretations of reality from the day we were born. I'm going to put it to you that the defining of our reality is at odds with who we are as spiritual beings. I'm going to bring back the term soul and spirituality because I think it's been bastardized and thrown in the frickin' loopy bin. And probably with good reason to some extent but it needs to come back. We need to reclaim these words and to redefine them. And for me, when I talk about the soul, I'm talking about our energetic self. So we have a mind that helps us to interpret things and guide things. We have a body that allows us to interact with this energy. But that's what our mind and body is for, to help us interact with energetic reality. Now energetic reality at times goes beyond words. It's not easily defined. We can come at it from different angles which is why I say that you need a conceptual understanding. You need to come at it from many different angles to fully understand it. So some things we can just know without defining. We don't have to define it. Other things it does help if we define that reality. If we want to understand it or teach it or come up with a new way of doing it. But for the most part, every now and again I'm going to lose track of what I'm saying. This is one of those moments. I'm trying to get this all out of my system and maybe it's come to a point where that's enough for today. In fact I think I'm going to wrap it up for the moment. I've discovered a way to heal the body. I've discovered a way to heal the mind and I've discovered a way to heal the soul, our energetic nature. It's taken me a long time to get where I am. I'm 51 years old. For the last 5 to 10 years I have struggled with the fact that I have not done anything with this. I had not put it out there until I recently stumbled upon a thing called Human Design. I found it through a Facebook ad. It's a hybrid form. They mix a few different things in together and it portrays who you are at an energetic level. Using astrology, using the I Ching. There's a couple of different things. Look and do it yourself. When I got my report back, you have an overarching number. My overarching number said that the first 30 years of my life was going to be an absolute shmazzle. It was. My life up until I was 30 was. I didn't know this back then because we didn't have the internet. My ADHD, PTSD and Tourette's meant that I was a mess. I was highly intelligent. I wasn't lazy. I had a strong sense of purpose. Do you think I could get my shit together? No, I couldn't. There's always something. The next 20 years as part of my Human Design was me figuring out how to deal with all that crap. That's what I did. I literally became a semi-recluse. We were living on acreage in a small town in southern Tasmania. I just started to write and I started to experiment. I started to do my own research. I started to look into things like anatomy and physiology. I started to look into things like physics and natural laws. I started to try and apply what I was finding at a macro level. I was applying it at the micro level of how I dealt with things. Why was I thinking the way I was thinking? Why was I responding or reacting? How could I change things? If I was feeling one way, how could I shift that? From that, I started to develop what has now become dynamic self-awareness. A lot of the times, we come up with static solutions. We come up with these linear ways to try and adapt or modify our behaviour. Without really understanding what it is that we're doing, what it is we're trying to change from and/or to. Here's a good example. Here's a question to ask yourself. If you've got a problem or a challenge in your life, how do you know? That might sound like a pretty stupid question, but if you can understand this, you'll understand what I'm talking about. How do you know that it's not right? What are the signs, signals or symptoms that tell you that something isn't right? The flip side of that is, how do you know if something's right for you? This is where body awareness comes in. It's one of the things that I have taught in the past and will continue to teach. We must increase our awareness of our body. Our body is going to tell us everything we need to know. Once you understand the language of the body, and that is an energetic language, that's describing the sensations that are happening in our body. Once you understand this, you'll understand the nature of reality, or at least of how to navigate it. Because your body will tell you everything you need to know. The problem has come about is that we have tried to name everything. When you name something, it's a static. It turns it into a pulse and there's no connections. It's just, "I feel angry." What's the sensation? Where does this come from? Is this a reaction? Is there certain triggers? What's the trigger? What's the energetic nature of the trigger? What does it lead to? Where does it come from? Why are you angry? What do you need to do to shift that anger? Do you get stuck when you get triggered into anger? What's the actual sensation? Once you understand, and this is where I've been lucky, in that I am able to slow these things down, and to understand what's happening in my body, and go back to these situations and pull them apart. There's this rising, like I seem to have come up into my head when I get angry and I explode. Straight away, I'm out of my body. This can be known as the dissociative state. It's a trauma response. It's not to say that every time you get angry it's a trauma response, but I'm going to put it to you that a lot of it is. Once you understand trauma, don't think that trauma is just something that people in the army have been through, or anyone that's had a major life event. No. Trauma is a force or a counter force that your nervous system has experienced, that it couldn't handle. Plain and simple. The whole time that you're in the womb, as you came out as a child, our nervous systems obviously weren't fully developed. Any time that something happened, that blew out our nervous system, it created trauma. This has also been passed down through our DNA. We have generational trauma. It affects us more than we know. If you are looking for reasons as to why you can't get your shit together, those reasons are energetic in nature. It is held energy, stuck energy in your system that is below your awareness. These patterns are playing out over and over and over again. Day in and day out. All the time. The reason that you keep coming up against the same shit is because it's the same pattern. Our soul, our energetic nature is trying to bring it to the surface, trying to bring it to awareness so that we can resolve it. But we've not had a good way to do that up until now. One of the things that I am going to be releasing, or helping to release, because this is not mine, it is not my system, this part of it, is called trauma energetics. It is a way to remove trauma permanently from the system. We have many different ways of discharging, getting rid of the charge, remembering earlier, three different ways energy expresses itself. One is to charge and discharge. All of our activities and our actions come about because we create enough charge to move, and then that discharging allows us to act. We can also have highly charged thoughts, memories, beliefs. One of the reasons that these thoughts, beliefs and actions can be so highly charged is because that charge is below our awareness. It's been forced in. It is the result of a traumatic event or situation, or a number of traumatic events or situations that all have the same theme. We either explode and let it out and discharge it, or we have a slow release way of discharging it, whether that's through numbing ourselves with distractions or self-medicating. Or what can also happen is that we can become highly anticipatory. We can be in a constant state of anticipation of what's going to happen next. This is anxiety. If it gets too much, our nervous system shuts down. This is depression. Very simple. Energy, like I said, behaves in very certain ways. The more layers there are, it can seem very complex. But at its very basic essence, energy is very simple. The way it's put together can become very complex, but once we start to break down, it's very simple. The energy is either moving up or down, or left or right, or it's an arc between up and down and left or right. These patterns can be seen in geometry. These patterns can be seen in the way our body moves. The way our body moves is a representation of how energy moves. Everything that happens in your body is a representation of energy. It's either expanding or contracting. It's either moving forward or backwards, up or down, left or right. It's either twisting, spinning in, twisting in, or spinning out. I'm spinning out of control. All of your thoughts can be reduced to being able to explain it energetically. What's happening with stress? Stress is a constriction. How do you know you're stressed? You feel constricted. Anxiety. This is where an understanding of words comes in. These words are encapsulating the energy in a certain situation or in a certain way of being. When we feel anxious, the derivation of the word, or the etymology of the word, where the word comes from, is a very good way to understand the energetic nature of these words. It is telling you about the energy of that word. When you break it all the way down, anxious means a twisted knot. We get the sense of this. When we're feeling anxious, we feel twisted. The opposite can be true as well. We can feel like we're spinning out of control. Everything's just moving too quickly. We've got no guidance, no control, we don't know where we're heading. We are spinning out of control. Or we can twist ourselves up in knots. All of this comes from that initial constriction. How we react is dependent on our nervous system, our beliefs, and how we've been taught to deal with these things. Once you understand the energetic nature of what's happening in your life, then you can start to play around with different things. If you normally get high in a certain situation or react, you can explore different ways of channeling that energy. If I'm spinning out of control, what would it mean to wind that back a bit? This is what I used to do with the kids when I was teaching them dynamic self-awareness in the school. They would present with something and I would explore the energetics around that behavior. Then I would practice ways of playing with the energy differently. Just that act was enough for these kids to get a different perspective, and thus explore different ways of expressing that energy. Within dynamic self-awareness, there are twin aspects. There is the healing aspect and the training aspect. The healing aspect is about self-healing, about what you get rid of, what you have to get rid of, or have to re-align and fix, and to make better. Then there's the training side of where you are heading. What is your goal? What is the meaning of life? What is your purpose? Why are you here? What are you doing? I'm going to put it to you that we have a blueprint inside of us that will dictate that. Once you can tune into your own personal energetic nature, what I call your energetic signature, and again this has different names depending on how you look at it. Astrology has talked about this, that you come in with a specific blueprint, and I have definitely found this to be the case. For me, it's a feeling, and the more I go into that feeling, there are many different layers that make up, or many different fields. All those fields together become the system that is me, Darren Bennick. That system has a very definite purpose, and it can be found in our energetic blueprints, the design of our system. There are many different layers of that, but the overall feel of me, that's what I focus on, on a daily basis. I allow that feeling to express itself in different ways, and that's how I got started doing this. I would just allow, and I do this on a daily basis, moment to moment basis. I tune in to what I associate with being my energetic signature, with the thing that is most familiar to me and about me. I tune into that, and I put myself in different situations, and allow myself to express the energy that is coming up in that moment. That's what I'm doing right now. I have literally just created the conditions that allow this message to start to come out. The message is that we need to redefine our own reality. Why? Because it's the only way we're ever going to change the world. At the moment, we are 7 billion chaotic, trauma-infested beings, trying to make a snow globe out of a shit show. It's just not working. We've fundamentally lost what it means to be human. The reason for that is because we've become disconnected from our true nature, our energetic nature. We've defined reality in ways that don't work for everyone. We're trying to enforce that definition of reality onto everyone. It's not working. We can all agree that it's not working. There are many different ways to become educated. You don't have to go to school. Education quite literally means to educe, to draw out. Now, nowhere in our education system is that evident. It used to be, but I think because we have tried to define everything to the nth degree, it has closed down our perspectives. Now, you just have to copy this. This is the way. But that's not the energy of education. You're meant to figure things out for yourself. You're meant to express yourself in the ways that you want to express yourself, not the ways other people think you should express yourself. People freak out and go, "Oh, but people are just going to go around and do whatever the hell they want." "Well, I don't think so. Are you?" "No." "Okay, so don't worry about what everyone else is going to do. I think you'll be surprised." "I mean, all your friends, are they going to just go off and do it?" "No, they're not." "What about the people you went to school with?" "No." "There might have been one or two, but think about the one or two that was what you call troublemakers. Did you know much about their family life or the trauma that they'd been through?" "No, you didn't." "Did you take the time to dig into their beliefs and how they were formed?" "No, you didn't." We haven't had a way to truly heal because we have come at it from a static perspective and we're trying to define things for each other. And it's not working and it hasn't worked. And until we can start to explore the energetic nature of reality, I think we're never going to be able to change. So that's what dynamic self-awareness is going to be. It's a way to explore energetic reality. It's a way to explore how we interact with that energetic reality through our mind and through our body. Our first mode of interaction is the body. If we didn't have a body, we wouldn't exist. The more of your body you can inhabit, the easier life is going to be for you. The more you will start to respond rather than react. And this is just a physiological fact. The more stressed you become, the less in your body you are. If you watch a child and you've experienced this yourself when you were younger, when you got really upset, the higher your breath came up in your chest and you started to sort of "ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah." You're up in your throat. Whereas if you're calm, relaxed, breathing in your body, your breathing comes from way further down. Down in your diaphragm and down into your stomach. When we become reactive, it engages our fight or flight response. This is an active response or an active reaction. Physiologically, that comes from the spine. The active part of our nervous system is in the front of our spine. The receptive part of our nervous system, where things come into our senses, is on the back of our spine. When for most of us, our awareness is directly in front. You'll notice when you go into a form of self-reflection that you'll come back from the front. You'll start to inhabit more of your body. For me, this is the essence of all body practices, is to engage the whole body. Why? Because our nervous system needs the active and receptive working at the same time. The minute one gets cut off from the other, you're going to have problems. Why do we have problems? Mostly it's not your fault. Unfortunately, it's the beliefs that have been instilled in you. It is the trauma or the held energy that's in your system that's creating these reactions all the time. We get to the point now where we are literally a bundle of reactions for most of the time. We're not really inhabiting our body. Think about most of your day, especially with the advent of the internet and social media. We are literally in our head the whole time. I think that might do. We're getting up to almost the hour mark. I'm going to leave it here and just keep going. I'm literally going to be dumping on all my social media channels and seeing what interests people. Eventually, I will start to release and teach dynamic self-awareness. That will be mind-body healing and training. The healing aspect and getting ready for, which is the training and the potential side of life. The idea being is that you can feel good no matter what. Once you understand the energetic nature of reality and once you start to explore dynamic self-awareness, you can't get any worse. You will literally go, "Oh, okay. So that's how reality works. Right. I can either get on board and shape and define my own reality, or I can continue on this way and have it defined for me and deal with the consequences of that." But I think the more you get into this, the more you start to see that, "Oh, okay. Reality is actually pretty easy. I just need to start to put in a bit of effort to understand it and start to play around with it and start to take responsibility." You can create any change you want. You can quite literally feel good no matter what and live a meaningful life that fits. Now that might seem like a throwaway comment, but it's not. It took me a long time to actually land on that because it doesn't make sense that you should feel good first. Okay. We've been trained to think that we have to have something in order to feel good, but that's not the way it works. And when I say feel good, I don't mean over the top fake happiness. It is a feeling that it's a neutral feeling, if anything. Feeling good is neutral. It's like, "Oh yeah, I feel good. I don't feel good. Something's not right. Okay. What about now? Oh yeah, no, no. Now I feel good." Feel good first. Then everything else becomes easier. It's not an over the top fake happy joy kind of thing. It is literally what I call a neutral state. This is going to be one of the first things that I teach people. How to achieve a neutral state. Neutrality is everywhere in nature. Once you start to connect with the energetic nature of reality, once you start to connect with life in general, the outside world, you will soon discover that there is this neutral state within all of it. So starting off from that neutral state, learning how to go from this reactive active state to a neutral state is the first step. You cannot change your life using the same patterns that you are now. It's impossible. It's just never going to work. That's what we're trying to do. We're trying all these different behavioral modifications using the exact same energetic system that got us into the crap we're in now. It doesn't work. You've got to come back to neutral. You've got to get rid of the cause, which is the pattern. You've got to get rid of the pattern that has been making you express yourself in that way. It can't do anything else. If you've got a set of patterns in place, beliefs and trauma, then that's how you're going to express yourself. You've got to change the pattern. You can't do that by energizing the pattern that's got you to where you are. So you have to learn to come to a neutral state and to feel good and then redefine that part of your reality. The more you do this, the more you will start to define your own reality, the better you will feel, the more connected you will feel, and the more on track you will feel as you start to express your true self. And that is when magic starts to happen. I kid you not. I have more stories than I know what to do with in terms of what has happened when I have shifted my perspective, when I have changed the way I feel, when I have developed and defined my own reality. The things that have happened, I mean, once or twice you might think, "Oh, that's just a coincidence." But it's now happening once or twice a day. And some of the more major things in my life, people wouldn't believe me. But that's the nature of my reality. Since I've started living in a state of dynamic self-awareness, and I will talk to you about that up the yin-yang for the next weeks, years, however long, life has become a hell of a lot easier. I still have my challenges. I need this being one of them, releasing this material, like it scares the bejeebus out of me, knowing that people are going to be listening to this. And I'm going to make some pretty bold statements, some very, very bold statements. And not everyone's going to agree with it. I don't really care about that. But the end result is what I consider to be a state of enlightenment. So everything's very light. And the only thing I've ever wanted in life was to become enlightened. I was very much into spiritual novels when I was younger. I got into hands-on healing. So I've always had been drawn to the energetic. And you read those novels and you hear about these beings that have become enlightened. They've gone beyond the ordinary. And something about that always, always, always resonated with me. There was never really a good explanation of what enlightenment was. People would hint at it. And it is because it is energetic. It is beyond words. It is pre-verbal. My friend and peer and mentor and the man behind Trauma Energetics, a man named Bill, he talks about this two shoe principle. So you're taking your shoes off. The first shoe you take off and put on the ground is what you know. And the second shoe is how you communicate that knowing. So you know first and then you try to communicate. Some things are easier to communicate than others. For me, communicating enlightenment is very tricky because there's no one way to come at it. You have to have a conceptual understanding. You have to have multiple perspectives in order for it to even remotely make sense. But when I say to you that I have experienced enlightenment and the more you hang out with me, the more you understand what that means. But I'm not lying to you. I have experienced what I consider to be enlightenment. It was beyond words. I've been able to break the experience down, both the lead up to it and the actual experience. And I've been able to basically develop this whole system of dynamic self awareness has come about on the back of one experience. That wasn't the only thing. There was a lead up to it. And I have been working on gaining a conceptual understanding of life. Exploring different ways of experiencing life. Exploring different ways to respond. Different ways to react. One of the things I used to do, and I'm sure this would. People never quite knew how to take me when I did this. But if I spent any amount of time with people, I would eventually say to the look, is there anything about me that annoys the crap out of you or that you think I need to change? And invariably, they would sort of go, oh, no, no, no, no. I said, no, no. Like I really want to know. Like I understand my strong points, but I want to understand my weak points and see if there's anything I can either do about that or just accept it. Anyway. And this is how I learned about myself. And most of the times, nothing really came as a surprise. And I didn't think that because I had these traits that I was a bad person. That was just how it was. I wanted to understand. And eventually I would delve into the nature of energy in whatever ways that I could. And I'll be talking about those in a lot more detail, different ways that I've explored energy. But I break it down simply. It's become more and more aware of your body, including how your body is built. So the anatomy and physiology. So I studied anatomy and physiology. I'm not saying you have to do that, but if you really want to understand the nature of reality, then you've got to understand the tools you're working with, even a very basic understanding. And don't just accept at face value. Oh, dear. The lungs do this. Okay. If you're not asking at least seven variations of why the lungs are doing that, then you're not really going to have a very deep or conceptual or energetic understanding of why we breathe. Now you might think, "Oh, it's just that it keeps alive." Nothing's ever just because. Okay. There's always deeper meanings. And I don't think it's deeper meaning just for the sake of having a deeper meaning. I think the deeper meaning allows us then to connect our breathing with other things. Okay. This is how we learn. The more perspectives that you can have on even the simplest things, the more opportunities you have to make connections with other things. And sometimes you might take to what might seem to be completely different with no similarities whatsoever. But then, you know, if you take it at a different level, you'll go, "Oh, holy cow. Those things are connected." I'll give you one little example. So I used to and probably still do overthink things. I've become a lot better at it. It's about moving from pulse to flow to field. Okay. But back in the day, I struggled with it. I really did. Like it got to the point where it was bothering me immensely. And I tried to stop thinking. "Bap-barrel!" Would not suggest you try that. The first time I tried to stop thinking, I didn't last very long. And I gave up thinking, "Oh my God, I'm broken." The second time I tried to do it, I was a lot more adamant that I was going to push through. And that almost drove me insane. I'm not even kidding. I almost lost my marbles trying to stop thinking. And again, all that happened was I came away thinking that I was even more broken than what I first thought. I used to drive a school bus, among other things. But I was driving along the road one day and I was starting to get into body awareness at the time. I had to. I was having major back problems. And I was working on my... And this is what I'm saying. Once you get multiple perspectives on something, you start to make connections. So I was becoming more aware of my body and what was happening. And so I was tuning into my body more often. And one day I was stuck in a repeating thought pattern, which I was well aware of. And I started to tune into my body. And at this point I was like, "Oh my God, I can feel the left side of my head more than the right." And it was a specific point in my head. And the more I tuned into this, the more I realized whenever I was overthinking something or stuck in a thought pattern, I could feel the same place in my head. And as I had been studying anatomy and physiology, I knew about your left and right hemispheres and what the different parts of your brain did. A generalized understanding. And this is where the exploring comes into play. Just trying to shift your perspective. You don't have to listen to anyone else's perspective on this, even mine. You can just literally play around with this stuff. So for me, I was like, "Well, I wonder if I can shift that sensation." And to begin with, I couldn't. In fact, when I went home and tried to shift that sensation, I couldn't do it. It just kept coming back. Now, again, the more you can explore reality and explore different perspectives and to look into different ideas, the more tools you're going to have to understand something. So I had also explored electromagnetism. The simplest thing of this is that if you have a wire that you're running electricity through, it creates a magnetic field. If you have a magnetic field with a wire running through it, you can induce electricity to run through that wire. Now, you don't have to understand any deeper than that. Just the simple concept of conduit, energy moving through it, creates a field. So you have pulse energy, flow energy, field energy, all in one. And what works one way works the other. Now, that is a primary principle right there. If something works one way, then it invariably has to work the other. So I then, again, just playing, went, "Well, I think that what I'm feeling is the field created by the electrical activity in my brain." Now, what would happen if I created a field on the other side of my head? Would that then induce electricity to run through the neurology of the right side of my brain? It took close to two hours to get the first shift. In the end, I had to really draw because it was so ingrained, my thinking patterns. It took a bit to shift it. But when it did, I straight away went, "Oh my God, that's a different feeling." And the more I played with this, the more I got to the point, and I can do it now, I literally just have to shift my awareness to the right side of my head and all my thoughts stop. You go into more of the right hemisphere, which is, I won't go into that right now. But all of my experimentation is just being curious, trying to understand something at its most simple. This is the beauty of dynamic self-awareness. The beauty of narrowing everything down to an energetic understanding is that energy only operates in specific ways. We do live in a binary universe, so it's normally on a value scale. Each different layer can be thought of as, "Well, is it expanding or is it contracting? Is it going up or down? Is it bending? Is it stuck? Is it this? Is it that?" What's the energy doing? If the energy is moving in one way, what would have to happen for it to shift? If we can understand that, if we can understand how something shifts into something else, then we can work it the other way as well and say, "All right, well, how did we get here?" This exploration of pulling out one piece of the puzzle, understanding it, understanding how we physically experience it, understanding how we mentally represent that, how it's represented in our mind. This can be, you can draw it, you can talk about it, you can express it in different ways. Like I said, this is the beauty of dynamic self-awareness, is that we're not bound to any one way. We can move fluidly in between, understanding something at a particle level, as a pulse. We can see how that would then move into a flow. Then we can also understand the field that these things are representing. We can also then create fields that allow certain flows to come into effect. Then all we need to do is put ourselves in the way of that and take little actions every day. Biggity-bam, biggity-boo, we're starting to transform, starting to change. If you develop then a bit of energetic awareness, a bit of awareness of yourself and of what lights you up and things that you want to know about, things that you're curious about, you can start to go on a quest, that is, asking questions. This is at the foundation of any change, is to simply ask the right question. That's all you have to do, is ask the right question and that answer will come to you. And I can prove this to you. If there's a problem in your life and you want to solve it, so you go out there and you say, "How am I going to solve this?" You're already asking a question, "How do I solve it?" Now, the problem is that if you want the right solution, you have to ask the right question. And if you haven't solved your problem, you have not asked the right question. I have found one way to ask the right question is to use dynamic self-awareness, to use an understanding of energy and start to ask questions from an energetic perspective. This will then give you a conceptual understanding of the problem, which will then allow a conceptual answer to come. All you have to do then is fill in the gaps, explore more, research more, define it better. But it all starts with asking the right question. In order to ask the right question and to receive an answer, you have to be in a neutral state. You can't be active and try to figure everything out. You're not in a receptive state to receive the answer. And most of the times we are stuck in an active state. We are stuck in fight or flight. We are stuck in a trauma reaction to life. And this is because we've forgotten or have not been taught how to shift our energetic conditions. How to achieve a neutral state, how to achieve a receptive state, how to move in between receptive, active and neutral states. What to do when we're in a neutral state, how to energize our actions in a way that we don't get stuck in them. It's all about awareness. All problems are just one problem and that is a lack of awareness. All your desires, everything that you want is all one desire. That is to feel connected to something. Whether that's to feel connected to yourself or to other people or to a meaning, a purpose in life or to find meaning. It's all about connection. So awareness and connection. These are the things we should be focusing on. And until we get those things under control, there's no point trying to figure out anything else. Okay? Because you just will not be in a place to be able to do that. Anyone that's ever become successful in their life has become aware of their own limitations, they're aware of the problem and they have figured things out by asking the right questions and by being able to shift into a neutral and receptive state in order to get the right answers. So you'd be surprised at how deep you can go with this and on what answers you can actually get just by asking the right questions and just by holding your awareness in a way that you can receive them. So where do you start with all of this? Well, I like to start with the body because that is our vehicle that enacts change. It's the vehicle that allows us to think and to reason. It is how we experience life is through our body. And it is also a way that we can control our reactions. First and foremost, the more you can work on your body awareness, the more things will spread out. They won't be so impulsive. Anyway, I'm going to leave it there. I could probably talk for hours and in fact I probably still will. It'll just be a different variation of this.
